Professor of Chemical Biology
enured appointments as Associate or Full Professor are foreseen.
The successful candidate is expected to have an internationally recognized research program in chemical biology or biological chemistry, broadly defined. ETH Zurich provides outstanding infrastructure, and a dynamic environment for research at the interface of chemistry and the biological science. The future professor will participate at all levels of undergraduate and graduate teaching in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences. In general, at ETH Zurich undergraduate level courses are taught in German or English and graduate level courses are taught in English. ETH Zurich is currently establishing a new curriculum for Chemical Biology and Biochemistry; the new professor will have opportunities to shape the establishment of this new course of study.

Assistant Professor Tenure Track in Digital Bioinorganic Chemistry
We are seeking candidates with an outstanding track record to build an internationally recognized research program in digital bioinorganic chemistry. While all areas of biological inorganic chemistry will be considered, upon equal qualifications, preference will be given to applicants with an interest in research directions complementing those of existing groups. This professorship lies within the UZH Digital Society Initiative and hence its research must have a strong link to aspects of digitalization, e.g. Big Data, bioinformatics, simulations, spectroscopy, high throughput, machine learning, or data mining. The selected candidate is expected to lead an independent research group linking experimental and computational methods and to participate in teaching at all levels of the BSc, MSc and PhD programs. The University of Zurich has an established program for career progression allowing promotion to associate and full professor upon successful evaluation.
